Here is a list of some of the songs and tefilla we did.

  • 271/שלום עליכם

  • 404/אין כאלהינו

  • 268 / אדון עולם

  • 222/ לכו נרה

  • 265 / עלינו

Heads up not all of them are there  and not in order.

Up coming holiday activates

The next holiday coming up is passover and we did a kahoot about it and the JKs are very smart.

For Purim the JKs did a puppet show for us in their classroom it was amazing .

here are more photos of the kahoot.

Sound

Hi cp31 here we are learning a new unit in science sound.

Properties of sound

 The properties of sound are:

  • sound travels
  • sounds can be reflected
  • sound can be absorbed
  • sound can be modified
  • sound is caused by vibrations.

Facts

It is fact time! Some facts about sound are that:

  1. Erupting Volcanoes Are the Loudest Natural Sound.
  2. A Crying Baby is Technically Louder Than a Car Horn
  3. Sound Can’t Travel Through Space

What is sound

Sound is a series of vibrations those vibrations create waves those waves go into the ear and that is when the ear comes in.

Our outer ear picks up the waves and directs it to the middle ear in a part called the ear canal the waves push against an eardrum to make vibrations those vibrations make three tiny bones move. These bones are called the auditory bones remove the vibrations up into a shell part of the ear called the cochlea which is full of tiny hairs and liquid it turns it back into waves and brings it up into a nerve which sends those waves to your brain and then the brain processes what sound you are hearing.

Experiments

It’s experiment time!

Tuning fork: We looked at how sound move sin vibration waves

We tried to make a phonecall…

Here we looked at how sounds can be modified by different solid materials:

Light

Hello Cp31 here right now I am going talk about light.

naturel Vs artificial

Natural light is light that is made in nature. Such as sunlight glow worms and fireflies

artificial light is light that is man-made. Some examples are Fire works Light bulbs Glow sticks Oil

many glow stick shinny with dark background Glow Stick Stock Photo

A fact that I did not know before is that there are more than one type of light that there’s not just one.

Emitting VS reflecting

Emitting  light means that the thing gives its own light Such as the sun .

Reflecting  light means something that moves the light into our eyes                                                  Luminous and non luminous objects for grade 3 |#Luminous |#non-luminous objects |#etoddlers - YouTube

Luminous means something that makes light.

Non-Luminous means something that doesn’t.

A cool fact that I didn’t know is that the moon is non luminous.

experiment #1

In my first experiment, I looked at how light travels. My hypothesis was the light would go through

I think this because it had holes in the middle of each piece of paper.

My procedure was: to cut holes in the paper and make a bullseye.

  1. Got my materials (paper, torch, clay
  2. Poked a hole through the cards. The last one had a X target
  3. I lined up the cards and shined the light through to try and hit the target

Here is an image of the experiment

My hypothesis was right/wrong because it only hit the last paper for one second

Experiment 2 – What makes a good reflector?

Reflection means something that moves the light into our eyes .

Good reflective material includes a mirror.

We did an experiment looking at what makes a good reflector. We used different materials such as a mirror a black paper tinfoil and colered paper.

Here is a picture of my results table

The best reflector was the mirror Because its shiny.

The worst reflector was black paper Because its dark.

Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque

Refraction

Refraction is the bending of light through different mediums such as (air water)

Refraction experiments

#1 (pencil)  the pencil got bigger and looked like it broke.

#2(coin) it got bigger.

science habitats

Hello cp31 here!

In science we have been learning about habitats right now I will teach you some facts about them.
there are around 6 types of habitats some examples a savanna and a forest

  • Animals live in a variety of habitats.
  • Human activity can destroy or degrade animal habitats.
  • Different types of habitats have different characteristics.
  • Animals need specific thing in a habitats to survive.

Roz recount

Help! I was being chased by bears. It made me feel scared. I’ll tell you why. First I was in the beautiful but damp forest . I Also went into a dark cave .Next I woke up bears! So I ran and tripped on a tall tree . Fortunately I got up and climbed the tree. It made me feel safe . In the end I hope I’ll be safe .
